AND MARKED THE 400TH ANNIVERSARY OF HIS DEATH
IN STRATFORD-UPON-AVON
APRIL 2016
Stratford-upon-Avon hosted the Stratfords of the World 2016 Reunion
20th - 26th April

23 APRIL 2016 MARKED THE 400TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEATH OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE WHEN THE WORLD CELEBRATED HIS REMARKABLE LEGACY.

Every other year six Stratfords from around the globe gather for a reunion and celebration of both our shared culture and unique qualities.  Stratfordians from Connecticut USA and Ontario Canada set up a 'sister cities' programme of cultural and social events in 1985, shortly afterwards joined by their inspirational namesake from Warwickshire, then towns from Prince Edward Island Canada,  Australia and New Zealand expanded the group in the late 1990s.

Stratfords of the World last gathered in April 2016 at Stratford-upon-Avon, when our overseas guests joined us for the special 400th Anniversary festivities including the Shakespeare Birthday Parade, among other events and trips.
